Our family in June

June has proved to be just as busy as we thought it would be, but it has been a great month so far, with various activities, and more to come!

We began the month with a "mini-family vacation" in McCall, Idaho.  It rained for most of the time that we were there, but we agreed that it was still just as great as we were hoping for, because we just relaxed and had fun together.  We swam in the hotel pool, went to a neat pottery painting/jewellery making place, and the girls even got to play on the sand by the lake for about an hour before another downpour began!

The next activity was the following weekend, and that was our church's annual "Block Party."  One of Brian's responsibilities involves organizing our "outreach events," and this is our biggest outreach event of the year.  It went well, and I included one picture from that day.  My pictures from that day aren't uploaded yet, so I got one from my friend on Facebook.   Megan enjoyed riding the horse over and over and over!!  She kept getting back in line!

Then came the flurry of activity that is....VBS!  Our theme this year was Egyptian, and was centered around the life of Joseph.  It was so much fun!
Katie is enjoying the petting zoo on one of the nights.

One of the "outdoor activities."

Brian and I had the privilege of being leaders of one of the "Egyptian Families."  Here I am having our closing Family Time with our team.  Alot of the leaders and kids dressed up in Egyptian-like costumes.  My costume was pretty drab here, but I tried to bring it up a notch the following nights! :)

Katie is helping Grandma vacuum the nursery after one night of VBS.  Margaret does such a great job with our church nursery.  She is DEFINITELY one of the hardest workers in our church.  I can't imagine organizing that kind of ministry and being in there as much as she is.  She is truly dedicated!

We tried to sneak in a little family time on Friday, because Brian was organizing things for the "Golf Tournament" that our church was putting on (Saturday), and also getting things ready for a Men's Conference called "Manifest," that was to take place that evening.  He has been enjoying being a part of the Leadership team for "Men at the Cross" in our region.  And, it was this team that was organizing the Men's Conference.

So...here we are at Red Robin!

So...it has been busy, but we have enjoyed each week as we prepare for the "next event."  Now...we prepare for our Family Camp which will be in Challis, ID.  We are soooo excited to be there.   We are looking forward to some rest and relaxation at the amazing "Living Water's Ranch," as well as Spritual renewal.

Then...Bring on July!!!!
